Ben Ertel is not your typical intern. While many interns are tasked with coffee runs and mindless tasks, Ben provides the support and manpower needed to create powerful results for GoEpps’ clients.
Armed with a cup of coffee, he is in charge of completing various tasks throughout the office. While he occasionally has to take care of minor inconveniences, such as replacing printer ink, the rest of the team knows him as someone who gets stuff done. Some days are more research-heavy, filled with keyword research and website audits. On others, he spends his time designing landing pages for clients. No matter what task he’s completing, however, he always works to meet client expectations in the work they ask for.
Ben’s work at GoEpps has allowed him to put the skills he developed while earning his degree in Communication and Philosophy to work in the business world. His commitment to excellence shines through his work. Like all GoEpps’ staff, he has made client satisfaction a top priority. Though he works with numerous clients and projects, he ensures his work is done right the first time and meets the client’s goals. His detail-orientation and perseverance have allowed him to thrive, producing invaluable work for both clients and the team.
Along with a dedication to high-quality work, Ben makes sure to personalize his efforts. Rather than allowing results to remain formulaic, he works with the team to keep information applicable and understandable. In fact, one of his favorite parts of keyword research is seeing and understanding how people think when searching for a client’s brand or services and products. This small glimpse allows him to liven a data-heavy task and provide valuable insight to his projects.
A self-described mellow buddy, Ben enjoys hanging out with friends after work for a good movie or time spent talking. He enjoys playing basketball at the gym and may also be found playing a fast-paced game of ping pong. He has inherited his Chicago-born dad’s love for the Cubs and other Chicago sports teams, but is an equally proud fan of the Tottenham Hotspur, a soccer team in England’s Premier League. When he settles down for a quiet moment, he enjoys reading, preferably non-fiction books such as titles by Malcolm Gladwell. He is currently on a bit of a hiatus from non-fiction, however, and is rediscovering Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy.
