For this month’s “Meet the Team” profile, we get to know our Finance Manager, Jamie Lipscomb. We chat about the outdoors, country music, and what helps her feel grounded during busy seasons of life.
What Did You Enjoy Doing Growing Up?
I loved anything that would connect me to nature and get me moving. Some of my favorite things to do as a kid were bike riding, camping, and playing outside. I was also a gymnast and a tennis player growing up. I loved being active and feeling challenged. I’m still passionate about the outdoors and exploring it through athleticism and play.
What Brought You to Nashville?
My family brought me to Nashville. My parents and I moved to Nashville from Florence, Kentucky when I was six years old, and I’ve been here ever since. It’s amazing to see how much it’s growing, changing, and evolving as a city and travel destination.
What Is the Most “Nashville” Thing You Do?
Listen to country music: it’s such a diverse genre of music, and it has such a long, interesting history, too. There’s definitely a lot to explore and appreciate about it, and it has something for everyone.
What Are Some of Your Passions? What Brings You Joy?
Family! My three children and my cats bring me endless joy. I never outgrew my love of the outdoors: I still love the peace that being outside brings me. There’s nothing like being on the lake or spending a few days skiing in the mountains to lift my spirits. Even when I’m relaxing, I like to feel challenged to figure things out. I love curling up in front of a crackling fireplace to work on puzzles, and I’m always looking for new variations of puzzles to try.
How Did You Find Your Way into Online Marketing?
My work as an accountant brought me into the online marketing world. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about how essential it is to the success of a business, and it’s exciting to be part of such a growing field. Over the years, I’ve noticed accounting and digital marketing have some things in common. It takes a mixture of powerful technology and a personal touch to make things work. And you have to monitor multiple projects diligently to make sure they work together successfully while providing excellent personalized service keeps clients and referrals coming in.
What Makes the GoEpps Team Unique?
GoEpps is a great blend of individual flexibility and true teamwork. Even before 2020, it was unique because many on the team were already working remotely. There are still some team members I’ve never met in person. Yet, over these past couple of years, I feel like I’ve become part of a really tight-knit group of great people who work together as a strong, caring team.
My goal is to keep clients happy, to keep my door open, and to be accessible and approachable when someone needs a hand. Working with GoEpps, I know I’m among a group of diverse people who share these values and priorities.
